Parents Info 2009 - Girls Team
Parents play a major role throughout the
Cross Country season as fans and participants. They help
run several STC East Invitationals as volunteers
and are always there to cheer on the runners. During the
season there are many ways parents can be involved to support
the team.
Parents' role during the season:
- Volunteer to help at our home meets.
- Work at least 1 shift during the year in the STCE concession stand (other than running events.)
- Participate in the Running Saints Booster group.
- Cheer on our athletes at the meets.

Spaghetti Dinners:
A senior girl and her parents host the spaghetti dinner at their home on the Friday night before a meet (excluding Peoria meets.) Each girl on the team will be asked to contribute a food item.

CONCESSION Events
School Athletic Events Concession Stand: Each year the Running Saints Boosters receives a minimum of $500 for the boys teams and $500 for the girls teams from Central Boosters in exchange for working the concessions stand for about 6 events throughout the school year. These events typically include a football, soccer and basketball game. The money is put into the Booster fund and is used for the benefit of ALL members of the Cross Country and Track teams ---things like equipment, T-shirts, dinner on long trips. We do this along with all the other booster organizations.
At least one parent from each cross country family is expected to work at least ONE concession event during the year.
PLEASE HELP - It's easy, fun and a good way to meet other cross country parents. To volunteer, please contact Diane Comstock.
