"Senior Lizzy Hynes ran her final cross country race of her career, finishing seventh in 17:20. Hynes, who ran at the state meet all four years, finished 19th, sixth and third, respectively, in her previous three years." Read the full article...

Big day for Saints girls
Daily Herald, Oct 19, 2008

"Lizzy Hynes led the Upstate Eight Conference team champions with a 17:52 for second place, and in her senior campaign, it was important to return the UEC title to St. Charles East having been a ember of the team which won it three years ago. Saints coach Denise Hefferin admits that the conference title has been a big goal all season.
" 'Winning the Upstate Eight has been a goal of ours for a few years now,' said Hefferin. 'We talked about a line of Saints. You don't win it with one and you don't win it with two. You win it with seven. The girls absolutely met and exceeded all of our goals for today.' " Read the article...

" ' I'm just really excited to be here and run with Lizzy Hynes,' Abel said. 'She's been really helpful and always tells me to stay calm. They've all helped me so much and I just try not to think about it (the race).'
"Dayna White was 27th in 18:46 for the Saints." Read the article.
